Question. How do I know when new mail has arrived in my mail box?
Answer. When new mail arrives in your mail box you should see a flashing "new message" sign in both the upper right and bottom right of any members area page. If there are no new messages, this is replaced with "check messages" you can click on at any time to read any previously received messages.
Question. I have uploaded my pictures but they do not show up. What am I doing wrong?
Answer. If you are uploading a new picture in place of an existing image, you may experience problems with the old image appearing to still be uploaded. This happens because the existing image is stuck in your browsers disk cache. To correct this problem, you can either, 1. open your browser's preferences and clear the disk cache., 2. choose "reload images" from your browser's menu or 3. quit your browser completely and restart it and log back in. If this is not the kind of error that you are encountering, please read on.
WardZero.com's image handling system can work with many commonly used image formats. The suffix for these formats can be: .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png, .pic, .pct or .tif. You should not be uploading pictures with the suffix's: .psd or .tga as these formats may not be accepted by the image handling system. Your picture's file name should not contain any spaces or punctuation except for the period and suffix at the end. Window's platform computers will usually add the correct suffix's automatically. To make your image name more readable, you may use the underscore character in place of spaces. If your picture file ends in .zip, .hqx or .bin then it is not really a picture at all but is an archive file (suitcase) that contains your pictures. You must first unzip the file to retrieve your pictures. Consult a friend that knows about image and archival formats to assist you in creating the correct image format for upload to this website.

Question. My roommate and I use the same computer but when he logs out and I try to log in, it still shows my roomates account and not mine.
Answer. Clicking "Log Out" on WardZero.com merely removes you from showing up as "online", however, your internet browser remembers who you are and will automatically send your username and password as long as you have not Quit out of your internet browser.
The only way that you can completely clear your username and password is to close all of your browser windows and quit the browser application completely. This will terminate your session and force you to retype your username and password to log in once the browser is relaunched. If there are two of you using the same computer, you might consider using two seperate browser applications; i.e. one of you uses Internet Explorer and the other uses Netscape Navigator. As these are two seperate applications, each will manage its own log in session seperately.
Question. Even if I click "Log Out" I am able to get back into my account without retyping my username and password. Why is this?
Answer. We use something called "sessions" to manage your login on WardZero.com. In one sense, this is handy, as for as long as your browser is running, it will remember who you are, even if you click to logout of the site. Logging out of WardZero.com merely removes you from showing up as "online".
